Lawrence Paul Vaughn, 70, was born on March 24, 1947, to the union of Lovell and Betty (Lewis) Vaughn, in Indianapolis, Indiana.  He was the second child of seven siblings.  He passed away November 20, 2017.

As a child Lawrence enjoyed baseball, Golden Glove Boxing, and was an avid sports fan.

Lawrence attended elementary school and middle school in the Indianapolis Public School System.  He graduated from Crispus Attucks High School and enlisted in the United States Navy.  While serving in the Navy, Lawrence enjoyed traveling around the world and developed a love of reading.

Lawrence was employed with the United States Postal Service for over twenty-five years and retired in 2015.

He was affectionately known as “Breedo” by his family and friends.  He devoted his life to his family and supported his nieces and nephews in their educational pursuits.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, Lovell and Betty Vaughn; brother, Lovell Vaughn, Jr.; sister, Mary Ann Wright; and brother, John Vaughn.

He is survived by his brother, Robert Vaughn; sister, Audrey (Reuben) Boyd; brother, Vincent Vaughn; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Services will be held Monday, November 27, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery.  The service will take place in a mausoleum chapel on the cemetery grounds.
